<--->The Final Moments<--->
Antz says:
Now is 1.27am 18th Dec 2008. I know I shouldn't be up awake blogging away right now. Coz it's less than 12hours where Jazs & Antz will be pronounce as Husband & Wife.
But I just feel that we should complete this very last entry before we reveal all photos of our works on the ROM venue later the day. As Jazs & Antz are going to Beijing for holiday, I will like to tell you guys what actually happened the past few days...
Okie.. On 15th Dec 08, we were still preparing our last bits of overseas packing and finalising all decors to our ROM venue. We worked till 11pm and gotta work on the following day. From 15th till 17th, every moment was tiring.
We did all the planning on our own, all the labours too! But we know that by 18th Dec 08, 1600hrs, we will feel that it is all worthwhile!
This is what we have planned :

Okie.. On 15th Dec 08, we were still preparing our last bits of overseas packing and finalising all decors to our ROM venue. We worked till 11pm and gotta work on the following day. From 15th till 17th, every moment was tiring.
We did all the planning on our own, all the labours too! But we know that by 18th Dec 08, 1600hrs, we will feel that it is all worthwhile!
This is what we have planned :
- 10 foil balloons (consist of 'Me to You' bear wedding edition, star-shaped & normal wedding balloons) - These balloons were all collected from Parkway & Bugis on yesterday by me & my sister. But before moving off, at 1400hrs, I stayed home to plan the 'Great Escape from ERP route'. And the certainly save a bit!
- 2 Unicorns for our Tian Po wedding bands.
- Emcee script for my sister
- Seat arrangement
- March-in song - Jazs have chosen this song, "Ai Ai" from Cao Ge
- Decor around the venue - E.g. Rose petals, signing pen, large party poppers, etc.
After preparing all these, I felt that, a simple ROM already takes so much of our brains juices, our time, our sleeps... I wonder what will we become when preparing for our Actual Day wedding & Chinese tea session. = )
I really hope to post up all the photos taken tomorrow as soon as we are back 'BirdNest' of Beijing!
Till then, will like to say 'THANKS' to all the people who gave their blessing to us.

I certainly looking forward to the day where Jazs puts on the diamond ring on my finger! I also love those 2 unicorns! They were brought at a gift house at Plaza Singapura, at the eleventh-hour! The shopkeeper was kind enough to let us in to make our purchase, after much indecisive struggle...
Next up, I was given the task to look for our Solemniser.
I scanned the Internet for recommended Solemniser (e.g. SG bridal.com forum) Found a few 'famous' one in the industry. See how those couples comment on those good & bad solemnisers, I'm getting kinda worried... Thinking...
What if he back out 3 days before my ROM (We are advised to call our Solemniser after we've collected our certs at Fort Canning)
What if he turn out late on the actual day?
All these 'What if's" will be revealed on 18th Dec 08. Should our Solemniser turns out really good, I'll certainly share his contact with you guys!!
So I shortlisted out a few and started calling them. Call the first one, who is a lecturer at a ITE, he was kinda young, a few peeps recommended him. Unfortunately he was unavailable, as our date is a weekday. The second one I called, agreed almost immediately. So that was 1 major task accomplished.
Next thing is to hunt for Wedding packages.
Actually at first we didn't think of hiring a bridal shop service, we were actually thinking of getting Jazs' grown, my suit, on our own. Bridal Shop has never come across our minds. Until Jazs' cousin brought this up to her, then... We started sourcing out...
Back to internet... I started my search again... This time was kept much simpler. I just did a comparison with DiGio, Golden Horse Awards and Wh**eL*nk. Phew~ Those sessions with them were ultimately tiring. Litres of saliva being used... Mind torturing indeed..
Everytime we enter a bridal shop, at least an hour gotta be spent. They simply cannot let you leave within a short time... Added to that, Jazs & Antz look kinda young to them, 'Shotgun marriage' seem to be their first impression.
After gone through those sessions, we set our hearts on DiGio. Service isn't bad at all. Growns were lovely. We signed a package that totally seal all stuffs that bothering our minds. With this package, it's seems that our 'To-Do list' has shorten by 70%!!!
The package consists of trial make-up (which we use for ROM), Tea dress grown, hand bouquet, Photo album. In future, for our wedding dinner grown, make-up, tea dress, those can be added in, in a future date.
After our ceremony, will show you Jazs' grown & make-up. For me, I already brought my suit from G2000 long before we signed this package..... (If not, we are able to rent from them...)
Anyway, stay tune for our next entry!!

Our band searched start as early as May 2008, we have been thru all those big big small small, wu mia bo mia jewellery shop (i think basically we are draggin ourselves into it) It's jus too tiring.. those who have been thru it will know! ha!
We are often asked about what type of thing we would like to have with diamond or not for the female and male. How many diamond la? with gold, roast gold or no gold la.. At first, Antz were like rejecting the ideas of having a diamond on the wedding ban but after one of the saleperson make comments Like in a lifetime, the only jewellery a guy can have diamonds but not feeling weird is the wedding band. This somehow enlightened our Antz.. Haha.. He is now somehow looking forward for the ring to be placed on this finger....
So in the end, we shortlisted two out of the hundreds we saw!! One from SooKee and the other from TianPo.. In case you were asking y no Lee Hwa.. i dun realli like their design.. haha.. The one from Sookee only has one small diamond in the middle of the ring and the other from TianPo is the one with 12 little diamond arranged all over the ring. Yea both female and male with the same amount of diamonds (we choose it to be like tat!)
In the end, we settled on the TianPo one as we had a discounted coupon given by Antz's kind cousin.... i would say that it quite worth the price and i realli like it alot.. i guess Antz also like it alot too as he was telling me "Dear! i cant wait to wear this on" (everytime when we took out the ring for a peek)
I think the photo of our ring is still not ready yet!! will upload them asap!

As mentioned at Antz's last entry... I'm telling about my proposal to Jazs...
You may say I'm kinda secretive, coz I told no one about my plan. I doesn't have that a big wonderful plan like HanZe's. I didn't check out with Candice. BUT I did surfed the net for lovely proposals that others have done!! *Jazs, I'm sure that plan of mine, copyright only belong to me!!
With the biggest gift (Brilliant Rose) gotten, I used an hour to do up a Power point slide show with all my 'honey' talk... *Muahaha.. Our photos are inserted, with background music, 'I'm Yours' by Jason Mraz. After doing up, I attached it to a restaurant's e-mail to us and forwarded to Jazs.
It is on 5th August 2008 (Our 8th year anniversary), just moments before lunch, where I sent that e-mail to Jazs. Lying to her that I'm too busy to meet her, but I'm sliently on my way to Raffles Place station to meet her. I called her to inform about that restaurant's e-mail, minutes before I reached her office. 5 minutes later, I told her I'm downstairs waiting for her, and we went for lunch at Sushi Tei @ China Square.
After lunch, Jazs' first ever diamond ring was presented to her. Looking at her face filled with happiness, I was plainly looking at her, smiling at her reaction. That was the most precious moment which we can never capture on our camera.
But it engraved deeply in our hearts.....

Jazs speak:
erm.. this is my 1st entry to this blog.. wat should i write eh... have got lots of thing in mind but dunnoe what to write first. haha.. wat to do it's a one life time thingy sia...
LOL
okie.. let continue from what antz have mentioned.. the next thing we did is to source for venue.. we did have many thing in mind at first.. for instance:
1) a chalet celebration where we rent one of those big bungalow
2) a yatch club where we would arrived by yatch (my cousin were asking what if i drop into the sea.. TOUCH WOOD LO!!)
3) some of the country clubs
4) Jewel Box at Mount Faber (i simply love that!!!BUT it's simply x)
5) A numbers of hotel like Swissotel Merchant Court, Carlton and others
Then we come back to a point to decide the number of guest to invite... if we were to invite more people, we would need a bigger area to accomodate all. So after much discussion with our family, we decide to have a small and cosy one with our close relative..
And we had to leave all our beloved friend out for our ROM as we find that it would be tough for us to handle too much people at one time for such a short ceremony and we do not wish to neglect any friends or relatives. So we have decided that we would invite all friend to celebrate with us in small and cosy groups la okie (post celebration after our ROM).. Dun tell us, u not free to meet up then!
Erm.. where are we! oh yea so in the end, after spoken to many venues, we shortlisted a few as some were given poor attitudes like the "Pony Jet" (LOL) and some were realli exp like "Jew Pox".
SO one fine day, we went down to this hotel near The Cathy and SMU... it called the Rendezvous Hotel. We meet with their banquet sale officier Sharon, a sweet looking and polite lady. She is the type that does not mind to go extra miles for her client unlike some who is out to eat u up if u are not careful.. Anyway had quite good experience with her as she were able to provide us with what we want. Even though the hotel is not veri big or posh but it is of some we want.
The arrangement provided:
+ a function room for the signing ceremony, we can bring in our own decoration no pro with that
+ after which all the guest will proceed to the straits cafe to have their international buffets.. (guess everyone would most pro prefer that compare to the ten main courses buffet we were to choose)
+ All our guest would be seated in a private corner (According to her, it should be quite exculsive la.. (But some stuff u nv see, u nv noe rite)

After our decision. There comes Antz's first hurdle...
It seem perfectly fine when we go out together for dinner. But this issue... You know... How to ask.... It seems like a huge rock on my back...
But it's an 'No Way Out' thing to be completed. So I was dragged into her parents' room and force to 'whisper' out our plan. I think they somehow knew we are gonna ROM, after Jazs hinted they countless times since CNY 08. *Hee~ 'Green light given!
For my parents, we talk about it over a dinner. *No sweat! I guess our decision also give my mum something happy to look forward to at the end of 2008! And I'm certainly glad about it.

Erm.. Not really in fact, I did bring Jazs around most jewellery shops for surveying. She, too, like Brilliant Rose better. Along these trips, I was always acting as "Dear, there's be no surprise. Just take your pick here la..." Not sure if she wanna 'force' me to a corner, so as to propose to her. She will mostly pull me out of the shop, saying, "I will consider..."
Luckily, one of my colleague brought me to this Soo Kee branch located at Toa Payoh Hub, and introduce me to a friendly staff down there. What is most comfortable while being attended by her is that, she doesn't look down on a guy in GIO jeans & polo tee! (You may ask me for her name if you planning to get SooKee's stuffs there) I think even Jazs agreed, as we went 3 other Soo Kee outlets around Singapore.
One evening, I went over and brought for Jazs, her very first diamond ring! I was very excited to pass it to her right away, but I can't. Cause I plan to give this lovely lady of mine,
It was a tiny surprise done up with the least props, the least $ spent, the least time spent.

When talking about how we made the decision to end our marital status as 'Single', I can only describe it as a very natural outcome. Since I was in ARMY, I was already thinking of it!!
Though we are 24 and 22 respectively, 'Too young for marriage' has never come into our minds. In fact we have been together for 8 years (Counting this year 2008). So we thought that better do so before our 'Steady status' reaches a decade! This year, was probably the time to tie the knot.
One thing which played a majority part in our decision - Feng Shui books!!
I started flipping through Feng Shui books in bookstores (after Lillian Too was being intro to me by my colleagues) It was Jan 08, where I was reading Year Outlook for RAT & COW 2008. It wrote something like this : "This is a good year to tie the knot for couples." At that moment I was thinking, really that coincidence? So I read another one (those A4 size Chinese 'Hong Swee' book), also the same!!
During the Chinese New Year Eve Channel 8 programme, that Feng Shui practitioner say exactly the similar stuff!!! Jazs & I were thinking, Really ma...
Counting the years... Staring at each other.... Wondering....
"Shall we?" I asked.
Jazs nodded in agreement.
Looking at each other, feeling simply blissful that we are confirming on this decision!
So up next is to choose the date of ROM.. I did another 'Lao ah pek' stunt. I didn't search the 'Tong shu', but I used the chinese calendar (Those where your parent tear a piece per day, with lots chinese writings) Using the 'TODAY suitable for : Wedding' to find the good date.
Don't laugh at me la.... One of my friend got her wedding date from 'Feng Shui Master' leh!! So not only me superstitious
So after long time of searching and discussion with my Mum, we landed on this date
Coincidence enough, this is a GOOD date! (Had already checked with Chinese GOD liao!! Courtesy of Jazs' Granny) *I really not that kinda old-brainy fella, please don't judge me with my above actions!!!
Anyway, it somehow makes us feel really good that it is SOoooo!! suitable for us to ROM on that day! = )
When talking about how we made the decision to end our marital status as 'Single', I can only describe it as a very natural outcome. Since I was in ARMY, I was already thinking of it!!
Though we are 24 and 22 respectively, 'Too young for marriage' has never come into our minds. In fact we have been together for 8 years (Counting this year 2008). So we thought that better do so before our 'Steady status' reaches a decade! This year, was probably the time to tie the knot.
One thing which played a majority part in our decision - Feng Shui books!!
I started flipping through Feng Shui books in bookstores (after Lillian Too was being intro to me by my colleagues) It was Jan 08, where I was reading Year Outlook for RAT & COW 2008. It wrote something like this : "This is a good year to tie the knot for couples." At that moment I was thinking, really that coincidence?
